My radio does not stay on the station or position i left it,

my radio does not stay on the station or position i left it , it always goes back to one particular place
JA: Have you checked the fuse?
Customer: yes its fine
JA: What year is your Station?
Customer: year?
JA: Are you fixing your Station yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: its not the station if i get out of the car and leave the radio on xm or a cd, it is always at another position and the same position everytime i get in and out of the car
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?

Is the radio not holding memory?

There are three fuses for the radio, one is the Fuse 17 and one is the fuse 3 both located in the interior fuse panel for the main power to the radio. The third fuse is the radio memory fuse 24 which is located in the under hood fuse panel. Start with checking it to be sure its not blown. If it checks okay and you have keep alive power from this fuse at the radio on the yellow/red keep alive wire and the radio will still not hold memory then the problem is with the radio. Lets check the memory fuse and its circuit first.

The cover on the fuse panel should be labeled with the fuse numbers on it.
