Hello my name is ***** ***** thank you for your question.

When it comes to these type of keys, when they are programmed to the car, they require a scanner to add another key. When programming keys, all keys have to be present. If you have a another key and you don't have it present when keys are being programmed, it will not work.

So normally you have to have the car taken to the dealer for a additional key or have a mobile locksmith come make a key and program it for you.

I have seen some places that can do a frequency copy to another key. But there is no many places out there that does it and it's not as effective.

The best thing to do is have the dealer make and program you a second key or find a mobile locksmith.
