Hi, let me see if I can help. Is this an automatic or manual transmission? Also, have you tested for battery voltage to the starter solenoid wire?

Customer: replied 4 months ago.
Automatic and yes
Expert:  GDibs replied 4 months ago.

Assuming you have no power to the starter solenoid that would lead me to testing at the Park/Neutral(PNP) position switch and PNP relay. Have you tried cranking it in neutral?

Customer: replied 4 months ago.
I did that as well with no luck
Expert:  GDibs replied 4 months ago.

Are you able to do some testing with a test light? To test at the PNP relay or switch? If you jump voltage t the starter solenoid will the engine crank and start?

Customer: replied 4 months ago.
I don't have a test light, but jumping does cause it to start.
Expert:  GDibs replied 4 months ago.

ok so maybe we can try bypassing the Park Neutral switch on the transmission.

Customer: replied 4 months ago.
How do I do that?
Expert:  GDibs replied 4 months ago.

you could unplug it and then jump a piece of wire across the two wires in the connector. up for something like that?

Expert:  GDibs replied 4 months ago.

if you were able to jump power to the starter solenoid I would think you would be able to do this

Customer: replied 4 months ago.
We can give it a shot!
Expert:  GDibs replied 4 months ago.

the switch is on the transmission and looks like this

Expert:  GDibs replied 4 months ago.

here is a wiring diagram of the starter circuit

Expert:  GDibs replied 4 months ago.

looks like a two wire connector .

Customer: replied 4 months ago.
Thanks I think this will work.
Expert:  GDibs replied 4 months ago.

If it cranks with that bypassed the PNP switch is bad. If not let me know
