Customer Question

I have a 2006 Nissan pathfinder, I can get it to start and run briefly, but it won't start again, and the transmission won't kick in and shift I'm getting U1000 code, I have ecm relay replaced, new battery, new key programmed, and I know the U1000 code is a networking code but nothing seems to keep it running perfectly, we bought it about a month ago from an auction, it has new fuel pump

I've checked all fuses and relays

Hi Im David, U1000 is for poor communication of the control modules
The can system is the (control area network) the communication of all the control units , the can code for your truck is a common type of problem, there is a repair bulletin for this the grounds on the dash harness are not tight and will trip this code, I have not seen it cause a problem you can reset the code it might not come back on again, if it does the dash will have to be removed and tighten all the harness grounds and clean them
