Customer Question

Driver seat reclines, but won't go up.
JA: What is the model/year of your Nissan?
Customer: 20th 08 altima
JA: Are you fixing your Altima yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: No. I haven't tried anything. I reclined my seat to clean it and it wouldn't move up.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: No. Thank you.

Hello my name is ***** ***** thank you for your question.

Most common when there is a issue with the recline operation, the issue is the power seat switch. That would be the first thing I would check for your issue. If the seat switch checks out, then you would need a lower seat frame assembly. The seat frame assembly is the only way to get the motor that may have failed if it's not the seat switch. But the seat switch is most of the time the problem for recline issues. I would think seat frame for sliding forward and back.
