Nissan Repair Questions? Ask a Mechanic for Answers ASAP
Hello my name is***** am an ASE Master Technician and I am glad to help you out with your question.
You will have to remove the trim and access the latch to open the gate manually so you can easily work on it. You have to remove the rear trim panel to access the latch. You will need to do a few test to verify the problem. You need a volt meter to check the power at the liftgate latch while pressing the lock and unlock, you also need to check the switch on the gate.
The most common problem for this is either a faulty switch of latch in the tail gate.
