Nissan Repair Questions? Ask a Mechanic for Answers ASAP
Hey there, thanks for the question.
well on the 4wd it helps to have the splash guards out of the way and the starter will come up and out around the motor mount it's just like playing a game of tetris to get it to drop down. If you had the long extensions to get the bolts out then your almost there.
My biggest concern is that you said you have a series of rapid clicks when trying to start, that is NOT a sign of a bad starter, but instead a weak or dead battery.
you "might" be playing tetris with your pathy for no reason at all IF thats the case.
not from the top. towards the front of the vehicle
you have to go over the axle towards the front and finally drop it out
Sounds good, it's ok to spike it like a football once it's out. it's a bit annoying to say the least haha.
if you need further help just let me know, be happy to assist.
If not just be sure to leave a kind rating is all.
