Nissan Repair Questions? Ask a Mechanic for Answers ASAP
Hello my name is ***** ***** thank you for your question.
Did it rev and run fine before the coils? What codes do or did you have to make you replace the coils?
Let me know...
Ok.. So what codes do you have now?
Did you change the spark plugs also?
What brand plugs? and where did you get the coils?
Did you remove the intake duct?
does the truck idle smooth?
Normally the 2k rpms indicates a bad MAF sensor. If you start the truck with it unplugged, does it run better, the same? ( not driving it of course.. see if it does the same 2k rpms thing..
If you put all the original coils back in, see if it returns to the normal operation before.. The reason I am asking you to do that is just in case the coils you got are after market and that they could be causing the issue.
Let me know
You brought the coils from the dealer?
I think there may be catt damage... That is the only thing I can think off with out using a scanner. At this point you are going to want to use a scanner to monitor the air and fuel mixture and monitor 02 sensor readings to try to verify that..
I hear ya.. I just though of one more trick I may have up my sleeve to see if there is a change.
Do you know about the Ecm relay in the IPDM? Do you recall that?
Yea.. Give that a try and let me know what happens...
Then fuel pressure and a scanner is where we are at I am afraid.. Was hoping it was a simply swap of the relays...
