Did you check the Freon charge.
If the charge is too low this will happen will start to switch itself on and off .
You need to check the charge of the low side and high side .on a correctly filled system you will have 35 - 40 psi
on the low and 180 - 200 psi on the high .
If pressure is good replace the pressure sensor switch .
This system does not run though the ECM. unless you have the automatic A/C system.
Need readings of the high and low

This is possible that the temp sensor is bad, but i would first put a jump wire just to test on the pressure sensors to see if the compressor stops cycling on and off .
If it does replace the pressure sensors its much more common than the temp sensor .
