Hey during engine install, is there a plate that goes btwn the engine and transmission. If so pliz send me a pic of it's configuration btwn engine and transmission. How the three hook up

when you took the old one was there a gasket or a shim, metal plate ?

did the new starter comes with shim for you to install?

the shim is used so the starter dont go in to deep and dont hit the fly wheel teeh so if you installed and it made a skreetching sound when starting it , then remove and install the shim or the gasket , you can buy extra shim or gasket from local parts store

there is a plate called a flex plate between engine and transmission
