Hi there,

What year is your Murano?
Is the check engine light coming on when this is happening?

Customer: replied 2 months ago. check engine light has come on

This sounds like a problem with the mass air flow sensor. It's not uncommon for this sensor to fail without turning the check engine light on. It will cause the fuel to cut off at about 2500-3000 rpms as well. Usually worse if you try to floor it.

One thing to check before replacing the sensor is the air duct work. It tends to pull off and sometimes break where it connects to the throttle body. This will cause the same symptoms as a bad sensor.
