2009, infinity M35. No transmission dipstick. Drop the pan

2009, infinity M35. No transmission dipstick. Drop the pan and took out 4.5qt oil and replaced with Nissan oil and added 5.5q.
JA: When was your last oil change?
Customer: Now the gear is not shifting to 3rd or 4th
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: ppl say I need to add more transmission oil
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?
Customer: when I removed only 4.5qt can I add more than that ?

Nissan has released a service bulletin dealing with the proper way to fill this transmission and it dose require a special procedure . I have enclose it in the link below for your review. If you follow the steps as shown this will tell you weather your level is correct. Also be sure to use the recommended fluid in this transmission.

Without access to ***** (C-III), how can I make sure the temperature is between 93-115 ? I kept the car ideal in park mode and change the oil. But I took out only 4.5qt and it was consuming more then 5.5qt, so I stop adding more oil. Do I need to add more oil until I see steady stream of fluid drains ?

You can usually just warm the engine up and you should be fine with the temp. You need to follow the steps to the letter and I suspect you may have lost more then you think when you drained it and yes you have to overfill it to know when its actually full so follow the steps in the bulletin and if the problem is due to being low on fluid then this should solve the problem for you.
