JA: Have you checked the Freon level? Have you checked the hoses?
Customer: yes, it was recharged, then compressor stopped, froze up or relay is dead?
JA: What is the model/year of your Nissan?
Customer: 2007 pathfinder se
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: it was intermittent, i added some freon using one of those little gauges, then it stopped working altogether. took it to Jiffy lube to have them evac and refill the system, but they couldn't get the compressor to come on
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?

Did you try applying 12v directly to the compressor to get it to come on?

because if the tech put 12v directly to the compressor wire and the clutch did not operate then the clutch is bad. Just replace the entire compressor if thats the case.
