Nissan Repair Questions? Ask a Mechanic for Answers ASAP
Hello, my name is***** they said a MAP sensor they may have meant the MAF sensor which is the air flow sensor, which causes this to occur. Most of the time though this is caused by a failing crank position sensor. This is the most common failure on this vehicle. I usually test this with a scan tool when the problem is occurring to see if the computer loses its rpm signal. If not then I monitor the MAF sensor reading. I hope this helps. Please let me know if you need further assistance.
There is only one and it is on the rear, right hand side of the engine if you have a four cylinder.
