Nissan Quest: The driver side window on my 2008 nissan quest

Customer Question

The driver side window on my 2008 nissan quest is stuck down. I can still operate the passenger side window so is it the motor?

Hi. A lot of times on the Quest the problem is with the drivers window switch. At this point what you need to do to verify, is to remove the door panel, and apply power and ground directly to the window motor and see if it will go up.

Why is this part so expensive? $228 on Rockauto and all other makes and models range from $50-60. Can you recommend another site?

Are you looking at the motor or the windows switch?
Customer: replied 7 months ago.
The switch. I found the motor for cheap. I actually bought it already thinking that's what it was but sounds like it might not be
Expert:  EricFromCT replied 7 months ago.
Those switches are generally expensive. Probably because they go bad. At napa the switch sells for 400 dollars. If you want to look for a used one at car-part.com that may be an option too.
