Hello my name is ***** ***** thank you for your question.

So you have the timing belt off the van and your timing marks are all out of place?

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
that's correct
Expert:  Jay replied 8 months ago.

ok.. Let me get you some images to help you line up all the timing for you.

Hang on..

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
I need diagrams, instructions how to find tdc and align the camshafts
Expert:  Jay replied 8 months ago.

Not a problem. All the marks I am giving you is to put the engine on TDC

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
I also pulled the whole distributor out, p lease indicate how to align with the TDC also
Expert:  Jay replied 8 months ago.

Once you have the engine at TDC and timing belt marked to the marks on the gears all lined up, put the distributor in with the distributor rotor pointing to number 1 on the cap.

Do you have any more questions on this?

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
as longest the marks are like on the pics it will be timed?
Expert:  Jay replied 8 months ago.

Yes, if you line up the two cam gears and put the crank in the position I showed you in the image, that is TDC. So then I would put the timing belt all on. Before buttoning it up and putting the timing cover back on, drop the distributor back in with the distributor rotor pointing to number 1 on the cap.

Got it?

i got it thanks, one last thing please provide a tip how to align the rear camshaft is very difficult to see the punchmark
Expert:  Jay replied 8 months ago.

If you look at the one image, there is a dimple on the back timing cover that the ***** *****nes up with. I use touch up paint to mark the cams and crank to make there timing marks more visible to help line things up
