Hello my name is ***** ***** thank you for your question.

Did you have a code for the Crank Sensor is that why you replaced it?

Also where did you buy this sensors?

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
common issues with a nissan that dont start. we replaced the crack shaft
Expert:  Jay replied 11 months ago.

Crank and Cam Sensor yes are fairly common for no start issues, but you would normally have a Cam or Crank sensor code, or a Engine Speed Signal Code.

Other wise, I have seen other things cause no start issues which we will get into.

If you remove the spark plugs, are they soaked with fuel?

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
took out spark plugs but they were not soaked with fuel
Expert:  Jay replied 11 months ago.

Then I would check to see if you have fuel pressure. I have seen the fuel pressure regulators go which can cause low to no fuel pressure.

Expert:  Jay replied 11 months ago.

Did you have a Service Engine Soon light when the car was last running?

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
checked fuel pressure is good, we did have a check engine light on the car when it last ransparks plug spark
car cracks but no start
Expert:  Jay replied 11 months ago.

If you had a Service Engine Soon light, did you check the vehicle for codes?

Expert:  Jay replied 11 months ago.

What was the fuel pressure at?

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
we have a scanner but the scanner doesnt show any data no data comes on the scanner
Expert:  Jay replied 11 months ago.

Well if you had a Service Engine Soon light on when the car was last running, there has to be a code stored in one of it's control units.

Are you using a Code Reader?

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
we are using a craftman scanner and what comes out is the following: no dtcs are presently stored in the vehicles computer
Expert:  Jay replied 11 months ago.

Can this scanner monitor sensor readings? Like Intake timing?

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
i dont know its a craftmans model 20899
Expert:  Jay replied 11 months ago.

Well I am not to familiar with it.

Where did you get the Cam Sensor you installed?

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
the scanner the Can obd 2 and 1 retrives stored codes. as well as Freeze Frame data and I/M Readiness status (obd2 system only).
Expert:  Jay replied 11 months ago.

What you want to see is if it can monitor intake timing while you are turning the engine over

Expert:  Jay replied 11 months ago.

Where did you buy the Crank Sensor you installed?

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
