2011 armada had to jump start. had battery tested at auto zone they said battery is good. now when I start is hesitates and the gauges go crazy

The gauges going crazy is a pretty normal indicator of a bad battery.

I assume the battery light is NOT on correct when its running?

it's unfortunately very common for a battery with a poor amperage draw or bad cell even to test good and leave people wondering what they missed. Your symptoms though are classic of bad battery.
