I am trying to replace the water pump on my 2007 Nissan

Customer Question

I am trying to replace the water pump on my 2007 Nissan Xterra and it's not coming off like it should. I've tried both recommended ways and it looks like someone put it on wrong and now it's stuck.

There isn't really a way to get it in there wrong. Maybe someone used some silicone or gasket maker and essentially glued it to the block. You tried installing 8M bolts in the holes and pressing it out by alternately tightening the bolts? It should pull out fairly smoothly.
