did this leak start only after the axle was replaced ??

Expert:  Clifton B. replied 1 year ago.

then you have ether a case where the axle is too long or too short or the diameter of the axle shaft is too small

Expert:  Clifton B. replied 1 year ago.

you should remove the new axle and check it to make sure it is the same size as the old axle

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
It only happened after the CV axle was replaced. This happened before 2007 and just replaced the seal diff which I purchased from the Nissan Dealer. Wonder if the CV Axle was too long or short.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
The old axle went back to the Parts Mgr at the repair shop. Now what.
Expert:  Clifton B. replied 1 year ago.

you should replace the axle with one from nissan to be sure you get the correct size axle

Expert:  Clifton B. replied 1 year ago.

even if you find a use oem that should work

Expert:  Clifton B. replied 1 year ago.

this is the best way to be sure you have the correct one

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
have my mech try a OEM axle and retry. Do not replace the new Seal/Diff unit from Nissan.
Expert:  Clifton B. replied 1 year ago.

no just replace the axle with one from the dealer i do not think replace the seal again or the diff will fix this as the sealing area is around the axle itself

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
try a OEM and see what happens. A OEM was on the pass front previous and did not leak until it was removed.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
go with a Nissan CV Axle or OEM which was done in this case.
Expert:  Clifton B. replied 1 year ago.

yes i would put in an axle from the dealer i think this will fix your problem
