when it freezes, do you get air out of your vents?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
air is coming out the vents. It appears that the ac clutch is constantly powered, it does not cycle.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
If I remove the wire to the clutch it shuts off permanently.

Your truck has a dual pressure switch. Do you have a dvom? I can give you the specs to test that switch

Expert:  AZTechBrian replied 1 year ago.

unfortunately I can't take a call at the moment. I'm sorry. I can opt out and hopefully someone else is in a better position to take a phone call if you would like?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
If you provide the test procedure online, that's fine.
Expert:  AZTechBrian replied 1 year ago.

You will need a set of gauges and and a dvom to check continuity on the dual pressure switch.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I have a DVOM, what gauges?
Expert:  AZTechBrian replied 1 year ago.

ac gauges. You will need to verify the high side pressure and the low side pressure

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I could get gauges if necessary. What am I looking for?

Your welcome. Let me know how it goes.

I just realized, you replaced your compressor. I guess you added that after I read your initial post. Did you replace your orifice tube and flush the system as well? a plugged orifice tube will cause freezing up as well.
