Customer Question

I have a 2002 Nissan Frontier rear wheel drive 3.3 V6 with automatic. When resealing the oil pan, do I need to unbolt the transmission to move it back an inch or two to drop the oil pan? Also, do I need to raise the engine a few inches? It looks like I have to do both but I thought I'd ask first.

Greetings...... “Hi, I’m Don (aka MOLurch) and I look forward to helping you!”

IF you want to drop the Oil Pan:
This is over a 3 hour job & is best on a Rack
IF you are trying to do this on floor, it is very tedious
You will need to lift the Motor
I can post Nissan Service Manual procedures if you like
