Hi there,

How many miles on the truck?
Does the engine crank and not start or no cranking at all?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
The battery is new and fully charged, the fuel line and filter are ok, and the engine is getting fuel. The engine is turning over, but it won't start. I also checked to make sure the gas cap was fully tightened. I think it may have something to do with the security system, it is very finicky. If the door is not completely closed, the car will not start.

Does it have some kind of aftermarket security system on it?

The factory system would allow it to start with a door open..

and how many miles on it?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
128k mi. The vehichle was starting fine when I bought it.

I apologize, I am unable to use a phone at the moment.

Is it possible for you to remove the distributor cap and make sure the rotor is turning when you crank the engine?
We need to see if the truck is getting spark since it seems to be getting fuel.

Let me know.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
No, the secutrity system and vehicle are all stock. But one other thing, the battery was drained one night, and this problem started after I got it jumped. As I said, the battery is fully charged now.

Ok, can you please check the distributor or at least pull a plug wire off one of the spark plugs and see if there is spark?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I also checked, it is getting a spark to the plug wires.

Ok

Take some carb cleaner or starting fluid, spray it directly into the throttle body and crank the engine. If it has spark it should run on it for a few seconds.
