If the transmission is a manual then there isn't a torque converter. Can you explain where you are hung up or what the problem is?Is the transmission moving but won't come out?
I need to make sure you have pulled the clutch release fork out. The throw out bearing is locked into the pressure plate, so on this you have to actually pull the release fork up and out of the transmission to get it off the throw out bearing, then you should be able to pull the transmission back on out of the car.
Please try this and let me know.

It's clipped in from the back side. If you remove the slave cylinder, you should be able to pull it up to release it. It will slide out of throw out bearing so you can pull it out.
You mean to get the clutch fork out?
MY mistake on this one, you do not need to pull the shift fork, in fact you cannot on this model.
So, if it feels stuck, check the dowel pins, sometimes it will get hung up on them. You can'tactually drive them through, but sometimes hitting them with a hammer and a punch will get them to move enough to get the transmission out of the car.
