Which particular pin are you referring to? This is supposed to have the pin like on other differentials that you have to knock out in order to remove the c-clips when removing the axles.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
the large pin you have to knock out it doesn't look like it will slide past the gear
Expert:  Mike S. replied 1 year ago.
Sorry, I meant to say this isn't instead of is.
Normally you just knock that pin out a little then turn the housing over and pull the pin out from that side.
I still don't see a pin though unless you are talking about some other pin.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
will it get past the ring gear
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
i am talking about the man pin that goes through the differential has two gears on it
Expert:  Mike S. replied 1 year ago.

Is this a electronic locking differential?

Is this the front or rear differential?

Expert:  Mike S. replied 1 year ago.

I see you requested a live phone call and I accepted but they appears to be a problem.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
rear differential I dont see any wires
Expert:  Mike S. replied 1 year ago.

That pin doesn't have to be removed in order to remove the axles and can be removed from the case after the case is removed from the housing. Here are the instructions,

Customer: replied 1 year ago.

Expert:  Mike S. replied 1 year ago.

yes

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
i am assuming you have to pull the ring gear to remove the main pin
Expert:  Mike S. replied 1 year ago.

no, didn't you get my last reply? I said, " That pin doesn't have to be removed in order to remove the axles and can be removed from the case after the case is removed from the housing."

Expert:  Mike S. replied 1 year ago.

Do you already have the axles out?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
all i need is the axles out to replace axle seals
Expert:  Mike S. replied 1 year ago.

Ok, let's backup here. Perhaps you should tell me what you are trying to do.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
axle seals are leaking
Expert:  Mike S. replied 1 year ago.

I thought the axles unbolted at the outer ends and then just pulled out.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
do the four bolts on the back side of the backing plate hold it in
Expert:  Mike S. replied 1 year ago.

Yes

Expert:  Mike S. replied 1 year ago.

That is exactly why I was asking why you wanted to remove that pin. There are no c-clips.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
ok we found bigger problems anyway this axle has a lot of play in it like bearing are out
Expert:  Mike S. replied 1 year ago.

You will need a slide hammer. Here are the instructions for removing the axles.
