what do I have to take apart to replace right front axle cv joint on a 2004 Nissan titan 4x4

remove the top ball joint then the big axle nut then remove the 6 bolt at the other end of the axle and pull the axle out

the top ball joint only that will give me enough play to remove axle

did you remove the bolt from the back end of the axle

axle is completely loose just don't have enough room to remove it

ok then unbolt the lower ball joint

i have always remove it be just pushing it back behind where it bolt to the diff push the front out the hub then pull it out but if you cant get it you will have to remove the lower ball joint

I don't have o loosen shock or the torsion bar? also have already loosened stearing arm

ok look like i was mixing up the titan and the frontier looking at the book you have to remove the upper ball joint and the shock sorry

its a coil over shock does this require anything special

no the coil will stay on the shock

just do not remove the center nut

loosen the three bolts on top and the bottom and upper and lower ball joint

just upper ball joint no need for the lower
