Maxima: my nissan 2001 (maxima) starts well but stops after

Customer Question

my nissan 2001 (maxima) starts well but stops after about 10sec.
Then I can repeat it over and over.
During the 10-15 seconds the engine seems to work good
He stops as if there is no fuel. (checked of course) Is this due a crankshaft or is the ECM gone????

HI there,Do you have a check engine light on when it is running?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
no, everything seems okee, no warning lights
I also checked the fuel pump. That part is okee.
Therefore I was thinking at the ECM or a sensor (one of the three)
How to check them (I own a scoop and a Hz digimeter)
Expert:  Mike V. replied 1 year ago.
Normally if you had a bad cam or crank sensor on the car you would get a code, so I suspect they are fine.Try unplugging the mass air flow sensor, then start the car and see if it will stay running at idle. If it does, then it's probably the problem. This will turn on the check engine light, so don't be alarmed.Let me know

Right, we unlugged the air mass sensor and the engine works on idle.
We have changed the sensor and all works fine now.Thamks and succes with your job.
