Nissan PATHFINDER 2006, se V-6, MILEAGE 165,000. AUTOMATIC, ac,ps,pb,pwindows, not 4x4
Service engine light came on. Rough running
when at traffic light or stopped - RPM drop to about 500.
I am on the road traveling it is Sunday - any ideas - // cannot not find an shop that is open

Your vehicle is most likely experiencing misfire or a bad crank sensor.

You will need an OBD2 scanner to retrieve the code to make sure. Any autozone can plug a reader for you today.

To fix a misfire code you will need to replace one of the bad coil on plug. Also replace all the spark plugs.

For the bad crank sensor. It is best if you replace the both the cam and crank sensor together as a set.

each coil cost $75 from Nissan. If is only one coil is bad then the job would cost about $160.
