What model Nissan is this? When you did the passenger front hub assembly did you remove the ABS sensor?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
08 xterra s, unit came w/new abs sensor
Expert:  Jay replied 1 year ago.
Did you get the hub after market? Did you plug the Sensor in since it came with the sensor?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
yes paid extra for moog. new sensor plugged in
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
no codes stored
Expert:  Jay replied 1 year ago.
Can you read ABS system for codes? Cause that is what those warning lights mean. What are you using to scan for codes? Code Reader?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I work for a independent garage, tried 3 different scanners, none would show a code.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
one scanner was a snap-on
Expert:  Jay replied 1 year ago.
If you have warning lights on, then there has to be a code. Do you have these warning lights on as soon as you start the truck? or do they come on as you start to drive?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
come on as soon as truck starts. last week, lights would go off if you turned truck off and restarted. now, just on all the time.
Expert:  Jay replied 1 year ago.
Do you still have the old hub?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
was play in old hub.
Expert:  Jay replied 1 year ago.
Darn.. Well if you didn't have a ABS warning light before you did the hub, and you do after, you either got the wrong hub with the wrong sensor parameters and that is causing your issue. Or possibly a defective sensor on that hub. I was hoping you had the old hub to simply plug it in and see if the lights go out when you start the truck.
Can you scanner the*****system and see if that system has any codes?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
having the lights on was the reason we started looking for a problem, and found play in original hub. tried scanning everything and no codes found.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
lights were on w/original hub
Expert:  Jay replied 1 year ago.
oh.. Ok.. So you had these lights on before the hub as well.
Then you need to scanner the*****system and check for codes there if you have no codes in the ABS system.
Can you scan the*****system?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
we will try tomorrow
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
last week, after restart, when lights would go out, would go into 4wd. wont go into 4wd w/lights on.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
should we pick this back up tomorrow?
Expert:  Jay replied 1 year ago.
That is why I want to scan the*****system to see if there is codes there.
