Hi I hae a 2004 Nissan altima and I need to program the key but I need the pin ..
Expert:  Jay replied 1 year ago.
Hello my name is ***** ***** thank you for your question.
Let me get to my computer to look at the images and see if the pin is on the BCM so I can decode it.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
How long will it take you?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
And thanks for he answer
Expert:  Jay replied 1 year ago.
Maybe around a 1/2 hour. Is that ok?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Yes that's fine
Expert:  Jay replied 1 year ago.
Thank you for waiting. The 5 digit pin is not on your BCM which means it would need to be read with a scanner.
Do you have a scanner to read the 5 digit pin?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
So I need t call somebody with the scanner ?
Expert:  Jay replied 1 year ago.
You need someone who has the proper scanner that can read the pin and program keys. Some mobile locksmiths can do this.
Do you have any keys that work?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
No, because the reason the keys doesnt work is because I replace the ecu.
Expert:  Jay replied 1 year ago.
Ahh... If you replaced the Ecm, what were you going to use to program the keys?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I have a Sylvia key programmer
Expert:  Jay replied 1 year ago.
That can't read the pin?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Expert:  Jay replied 1 year ago.
Then you may need to have a Mobile Locksmith come to read the pin for you and they can sometimes decode it right there for you and either let them program the keys for you, or you can attempt it after they decode it for you.
That is going to be the only way since the BCM doesn't have the pin on it to decode.
