Hello my name is XXXXX XXXXX thank you for your question.
Does the head lights work when you turn them on?
No lights, no dash lights no nothing.
Hello, was having problems with justanswer, so now back on line with you.
HI Jay I'm here
Yeah the site has been having issues today
So am I
The battery cables where they connect to the battery, are any of them after market?
If you wanted to remove a battery cable off the battery
would you need to use a 13 mm wrench or a 10 mm wrench
Hi the mechanic removed the cabled after cleaning them reinstalled them car started, BUT after we shut off the the car same problem no start no lights no dash lights nothing
It is most likely a bad battery terminal connection or terminal.
How handy are you?
Do you have a 13 mm wrench or a 10 mm wrench to see if we can play around with the battery terminals to see if we can figure this out?
I could, but the car is about 20 miles away from me. So I have no access to it currently.
Would it be wise to change the battery & cables??
Hi Jay, are you still there?
How old is that battery?
Let me explain what I do with this
The battery is about 6 years old. could be more as was in car when brought it
If the battery is that old, I would change the battery
Batteries are only good normally 3 to 4 years
So you got your moneys worth out of that battery
I was going to say..
Ok then I'll get it changed. If still have a prob I'll contact Justanswer.
This is what I do
So when your there if you still have a issue..
What I do is turn the head lights on
when the hood is open
If they don't come on, then loosen one battery cable at the battery at a time
Loosen and wiggle
If you see the head lights flicker or come on, that is the cable with the issue
Try wiggling it and tightening it down in a slightly different direction
and see if it works
If you find the head lights work, yet you have no other power through out the car
Then you have a blown fusible link
OK when I hit the battery terminal the car would sometimes start not always
It's normally a battery terminal issue that cause this. The new battery will most likely help as well.
OK I'll try all of your suggestions. thanks a whole lot for you time
