does it nalways start with a jump?
yes and it may just start on its own. Picked it up today and it has started ever since but I may go out in the morning and it will be dead.
sense it always starts with a jump
this only means one thing
the problem must be the cables
you need to make sure that the cables are tight and clean at all 4 point
the battery+ and-
and the starter+
there is no other reason for this problem
everything was off on Fri until it was jolted when the back tires hit the end of the driveway where the street starts, than the lights came on.
i would think it vibrated the bad connection
The cable connects were checked and found to be tight and without problems
must check at the engine- and tyhe start+ also
but,,sense it always starts with a jump and you know the battery is good
i would think the cables are bad at the battery
]there is no other reason for it to work with a jump if this wasnt so
is there an electrical process that occurs that could have a short
i wouldnt tink it was a short
if so,,the battery would die
and,it wouldnt explain it starting with na jump
ok could the cables be bad somewhere other than right at the battery??
they may be damaged and need replaced
i can give you a diagram of the starting system,,if you want
The car is 12y old will that make a difference on the cables being bad?
A diagram would be great.
again,,if you know the battery is good,,there is nothing else that explains the way you say it is doing ,other than the cables
