Customer Question

2005 Nissan maxima se 5spd AT. I replace the valve bode in the trans and now in the morning it gives a p0745 code for pressure control solenoid a circuit malfunction. In my reading I have found that a possible resistor could be the cause, problem being I only see a drop resistor for the 4spd AT. any advice?

Country: United States
Make: Nissan
Model: Maxima
Year: 2005
Engine: 3.5 5spd AT

Already Tried:
Replaced valve body after eratic shifts. can clear the codes and drives fine all day until it sits over night.

please cancel my question as I found the answer on my own, The TCM must be initialized by the dealer.

Relist: I still need help.
Had the TCM reflashed as the manual states it must be done. Well this morning the same codes popped up. Nissan however shows not only the p0745 code but is also pulling a p0726 code that my scanned will not read. Guess the Nissan Cunsult II can read way more in depth.

Well the P0745 is what really concerns me here.

I would start by double checking the transmission connector for corrosion. Use some electrical parts cleaner if neccessary, because the P0745 is the linear line pressure solenoid. When your looking at the actuall valve body you will see 3 linear solenoids with small 2 wire connectors. The one with the bluish connector and 2 blue wires coming out of it is the one your getting a fault for. I wouldn't be suprised if the wires to the TCM were damaged during the install or the connector.

Let me know what other questions you have.
