In your case, the most likely reasons for this failure are:
- you have water ingress, causing some short in the mirror circuit (motor)
- you have a fault in the commanding system (mirror switch or body control module).

In this case, you can do the following:
- remove the mirror:


And then check underneath for any mechanical flows (anything broken or restricted), then check for any water ingress or fault within the wiring. If these are good, and the problem persists, next you need to get to the switch and body control module.

These need to be examined using a Nissan scan tool (consult), so you better take this to dealer in this case.
