HI!
did your timing belt slip ?
unknown
ok if belt broke sometimes you can install a new belt and will be ok , if runs bad and has low compression you will need to replace the valves in cylinder head ,
a lot of times it will not bend valves if you are at high engine speed it has a higher chance of bending valves in head
let me know if you have any questions, Thank you ROY!
how do I check for bent valves?
install a new timing belt and do a compression test on engine if low will need valves ,
if not you are ok
or start will new belt and see how it runs
with new belt
if runs rough or misfires could have bad valves
what about timing belt slip?
same thing if slips can also damage vavles will let came get out of time and hit valves
you can remove distributor cap and crank engine and see if rotor turns, if not the belt is broken ,
OK THANKS
your welcome , Thank you ROY!
