Welcome to JA! I am Carguy1 and I will assist you today.Hi there! Are the brake lights working?
yes
Ok, are all the other inside lights working? Like the dome light? Normally the dimmer switch on the dash is the problem. You should check and make sure or see if the lights change when you roll it. If not, then I would start with the switch.Check the tail lights as well. IF they are out to, it may be a fuse issue.Let me know;.
Dome light works...taill lights, headlights, blinkers, all work. How do I check the reostat? The reostat does not appear to do anything when I turn it either direction. Should there be voltage on it? I have a volt ohm meter...what do I check for?
Yes, there is a pink wire with a blue stripe that should have battery voltage with the lights on. Then, pink/black should also have power and it should change as you move the switch. No power, no good.
THX! I will check & see. Get back with you later this eve..
/Sounds good, I won't be on later, but you can post here and I will get back to you as soon as I can!
That was the problem. I was able to repair the switch (re-solderd a terminal). Working fine now. THX!!!
You are very welcome! Glad it's resolved! Please be sure to rate my answer and thank you!
