The battery on my frontier went dead. It was parked on an incline so i put it in refurse and started it rolling backward and tried to jump start the truck. it would not start. I then tried to jump start it with a battery and now it will not start. H ave I done something to the motor by tryiny to jump it by rolling jump starting?

hi, i don't think you damage anything by doing this , if you install the jumper cables the wrong way then you may have blown fuses, you should just replace the battery and see if the truck start sometimes the battery go so dead that you can't even jump it to get the car to start; so start by replacing the battery .
I have already done that and it still does not start
do the engine crank at all
It turns over but does not try to start. almost like it does not have much compression
ok well the first thing you need to do is check for spark and fuel do you know how to do this ?
No
remove and stark plug wire and put a screwdriver in it put it to ground on the engine crank the car and check to see if you see stark . then remove the fuel line get a fuel pressure tester install on the line you remove and crank and read the pressure .
I can do that. If no spark, what could it be?
the distributor is bad
Ok. I will do this. Could the timing belt or chain jumped and messed up the timing?
this could be also , so if you dont have start remove the cap from the distributor and makr sure it spins when cranking the engine over if it dont then the belt is broken
