Hi my name's Mike thanks for the question! Did you spray cleaner into the throttle or did you just use a rag to wipe it?
If you sprayed cleaner into the throttle, it's highly likely you're going to need a new throttle body assembly. You can try to manually re-learn the idle and sometimes it works but usually once cleaner is sprayed into the throttle, it ruins it.
There is a resetting for the throttle isn't there before I know if info need to do that and if I do need a new throttle would it be less of problem? Would INeed reset it
How much are thy usually cost at auto store?

has a malfunction.
1. Perform EC-47, "Accelerator Pedal Released Position Learning" .
2. Perform EC-47, "Throttle Valve Closed Position Learning" .
3. Start engine and warm it up to normal operating temperature.
4. Check that all items listed under the topic PREPARATION (previously mentioned) are in good order.
5. Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds.
6. Confirm that accelerator pedal is fully released, turn ignition switch ON and wait 3 seconds.
7. Repeat the following procedure quickly five times within 5 seconds.
a. Fully depress the accelerator pedal.
b. Fully release the accelerator pedal.
8. Wait 7 seconds, fully depress the accelerator pedal and keep it for approx. 20 seconds until the MIL stops
blinking and turned ON.
9. Fully release the accelerator pedal within 3 seconds after the MIL turned ON.
10. Start engine and let it idle.
11. Wait 20 seconds.
12. Rev up the engine two or three times and make sure that idle speed and ignition timing are within the
specifications.
13. If idle speed and ignition timing are not within the specification, Idle Air Volume Learning will not be carried
out successfully. In this case, find the cause of the incident by referring to the Diagnostic Procedure below
DESCRIPTION
Accelerator Pedal Released Position Learning is an operation to learn the fully released position of the accelerator
pedal by monitoring the accelerator pedal position sensor output signal. It must be performed each time
harness connector of accelerator pedal position sensor or ECM is disconnected.
OPERATION PROCEDURE
1. Make sure that accelerator pedal is fully released.
2. Turn ignition switch ON and wait at least 2 seconds.
3. Turn ignition switch OFF wait at least 10 seconds.
4. Turn ignition switch ON and wait at least 2 seconds.
5. Turn ignition switch OFF wait at least 10 seconds.
Throttle Valve Closed Position Learning UBS002OA
Throttle Valve Closed Position Learning is an operation to learn the fully closed position of the throttle valve by
monitoring the throttle position sensor output signal. It must be performed each time harness connector of
electric throttle control actuator or ECM is disconnected.
2. Turn ignition switch ON.
Make sure that throttle valve moves during above 10 seconds by confirming the operating sound
If you do end up needing a new throttle, make sure you buy it from the dealer not an aftermarket one because they won't last very long or at all. They usuall run about $500. They are pretty pricy and once it's installed, you're going to need to have the idle set, preferably at a dealer with their scan tool. If your car is rated for california emission however, the throttle is warrantied for 15 years/150,000 miles under the ca emission codes.
Experience: 17 years with Nissan/Infiniti dealerships
Where can I Find the the topic "preparation"?
Im from Cali
It gave me a p0507 idle air control system revolutions per min higher than expected
I have not heard back from you
Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner, I had to take care of my daughter for a bit. The "preparation" part which I forgot to include basically is having the car in P or N, all loads off (a/c, lights, radio, etc.) and make sure the car is warmed up to normal operating temperature. Don't run the car too long, because if the engine gets too hot and the fans come on, the idle will never set. If you have access to a scan tool that can view engine data monitoring, the engine coolant temp has to be at least 176 F and no more than 210 F. If you check the emission label on the underside of the hood it will tell you if your car is california rated or not. If it says california anywhere on that white emission label then it should be a CA rated car but it's always best to go to the dealer and have them run the VIN to double check. If if is still covered, then you can get a new throttle for free. The 507 code will come on anytime the idle is way off.Mike O.41098.2365365741
Here's a link for the warranty on a 2004 Nissan. Check page 10 under california emission warranty and you'll see the 15 year coverage I was referring to. Page 11 lists what parts are covered.

Mike, Thank you soo much for all the help you gave me the other day about my question regarding the problem I was having with the car. I didn't buy a new throttle body I was reading about throttle body that it was not to touch the butterfly as it would ruin the control which it did when I touch it I wasn't so aware of that until later when I asked you about it. thanks so much for the web informatuon you gave me about the warrantee at first thought it wouldn't be possible because miles was at 126.000 on the car so I was advice to take it to the nissan to reset the throttle body not at a shop or some where else. Well I took it to a Nissan dealer for the reset they asked me if I wanted them to go thru the whole check to be sure of everything else was ok. I was concern about the cost was going to be once they called about the car to my biggest surprise everyting was still under warrantee like you said there was a recall on ECM my fuel pump was bad also the catalytic converter was bad as well too rhey reset the throttle body so everyting was working great I only had to pay 110.00 i was so thrilled and relief. thanks you again Mike for your big help I really needed that. thanks again thanks for your awesome work keep up the great work for those who need you too. Kevin
