My car hesitates especially after it shifts into 3rd gear. It has stalled a couple of time in the past few months when I come to a stop. It has little power, in fact it seems to have trouble going over 45-50 MPH. My car has always had good 'get up and go' but now it is sluggish. I took my car to a mechanic and they replaced a sensor and put new spark plugs and wires in but the mechanic took it for a test drive this morning and it stalled.

The engine light did come on last time I drove the car. The light stayed steady.
