I have a nissan murano 2005 the rr power door lock was not working I did change the lock wich includes the actuator now is the only door lock is working
Hello and thank you for using JustAnswer.com
Did all the other door locks work before you replaced the Right Rear door latch assembly?
Also let me know where you got the part and if they used your vin number to get the correct part for you!
did not ask for vin # ,XXX i got it from the dealer
started with the rr door then simetimes the hach the back door did not open now the only one is working properly is the one I changed
Did all the other door locks work properly before you did this repair?
like I said sometimes the the trunk /back door cargo door did not work but started with the RR
I understood that.
That is most likely the hatch door lock actuator.
The way I am understanding your questions is as if all the power door locks worked except the right rear. You replaced that latch assembly and now none of the doors work.. That is how I am interpreting your question
I am not counting the hatch I am focusing on the doors
now the only door locking/working is the one I changed
I understand that. My question is did all the power door locks work properly besides the right rear door before you did the repair?
or are all the power door locks not working and you started with the right rear door?
yes
yes? they all did not work and you replaced the right rear and now that is the only one that works?
no the other doors where working before
is it possible that all broke ? I don't think so
Try unplugging the door lock you just installed, and then recheck lock operation. If all the doors start working again, you may have the wrong door latch assembly
I did try that and simetimes they work sometimes dont and the swich trys to move the locks but not all the way and when it was hot outside it was worse and in the morning when it was colder all worked
why I changed the RR I unpluged it and put power to it and did not work
If you see the door locks move, but not fully operate, that is a tired door lock actuator.
Some times when you let them sit, they may work. But if you work them lock and unlock a few times, you will most likely get them to just flicker
like your saying
Door lock actuators are very common on the Muranos I am afraid
same with the hatch lock actuator
They are common to fail also
so that means I have to change all the locks ,can't be the relay or module or something else $ 300 a piece pretty expensive
If you hit the door lock and you see the lock knob flicker or move, yes I am afraid they will need to be replaced.
It wouldn't be the first one I have seen.
I am sorry to say.
I would love to say it's just a fuse or some thing, but if you see the lock knob move when you hit either lock or unlock, it's the actuator.
wow that means i have to get to work thank you
