my 91 infiniti m30 wont exceed 1800 rpms, and the next few dayshas no pick up,then for no obvios reason it runs greatrpms are verry responsive revs up to 3500 rpms and shifts great.when it is having the problem i need to take foot off gas pedal to get it to shift as the car aproaches1500 -1800 rpms it bucksuntill i take my foot off gas and let it shift

Thanks for your question. Sorry you're having car problems, I will do my best to research this and supply you with an accurate answer ASAP. First thing to do is inspect and clean the MAF sensor, it may be dirty or defective, then test it's output waveform. The next thing to check would be the crank sensor output waveform too for possible glitches. See attachments for guidelines.
