98 nissan pathfinder, no spark coil tested bad replaced distributor with new, replaced crank sensor, still no spark but the coil now reads 13.87 whe1320n probing sec to either primary connector and i get no primary reading on any range{20m 200k 20k or 2000} but i get a 1.1 reading on 200, . The 13.87 sec reading is on 20k range. no reading on that range on primary. I think the computer is ok because I can hear the injecters clicking while turning over. I also get a po 1320 code when cranking, erase codes ,crank engine 1320 code comes up. I am a mech and I run a 1 man shop am somewhat competent and I'm stumped
Optional Information: Year: 1998 Make: Nissan Model: pathfinder Engine: 3.3 v6 Already Tried: fuel pressure ok. power into the distributor, injectors are clicking when cranked. po 1320 code comes up after erase and recrank
Welcome to JA! I am Carguy1 and I will assist you today.Hi there!Nissan distributor or aftermarket?
after market
I would send it back and get another. I have seen a lot of the aftermarket stuff not work. I have actually wasted 6 hours, diagnosing a "new" distributor on a couple of these and they were NAPA gold distributors.I suspect it's the issue with this, it will make you pull your hair out thinking you did something wrong. Also, check to make sure the rotor is turning, it is probably turning because you don't have a cam sensor code, but worth a look.Honestly, if you have the proper voltage going to the distributor, then it is very likely it's the distributor causing the problem still.
