To clear the SES light, you can remove the "NEG" cable from the battery for 15 minutes. If the light returns, you will then need to obtain the diagnostic trouble code (aka "p-code") to find out where the problem lies. You can have these p-codes read for Free (except in California) at any local "big chain" parts store (ie. AutoZone, Pepboys, etc).
