The cord for the block heater can be found tied up on the left side of the engine compartment near the windshield washer fluid reservoir. You can untie and route this cord wherever you want. I fastened mine to the lower part of the grille so it can be accessed without popping the hood.The OEM block heater is in the engine block (accessible from the outside) and heats the coolant. It threads into the block so I imagine models not equipped with the heater simply have a threaded plug instead. It's not in a very accessible location as it's located just below/behind the water pump which is underneath the alternator. Hoped this helped.Positive feedback and bonuses greatly appreciated.

This is the cord part number. Replacement cord part no:(NNN) NNN-NNNNthen just install the cord to the heater.Also napa auto parts has a similar cord that will work here's the part number.
