how do I replace the camshaft position sensor on a nissan quest 2004 se
Optional Information: Year: 2004 Make: Nissan
The cam senor has one bolt on plug and stcks into the engine. If you can find the sensor, remove the bolt and wiring harness and the sensor should be able to be unplugged.
the picture says it has the intake air duct removed, how do you remove it? And the 'front', does that refer to the front of the engine or the front of the car? In other words, if it is the front of the car, then the sensors are on the drivers side?
Click hereThe sensors are on drives side. The bank 2 sensor is behind the bank one sensor. To remove the intake box, remove the air filter to access the bolts that hold it in.

Tim, I know i already closed the question, but how do you remove the plug adapter from the sensor?
There should just be a clamp you push down on if I can remember correctly.
got it, thanks again.
Thanks for the bonus and accept. Also, if this does not fix the problem let me know and I can help with what is going on.
Tim, It did fix the problem, I appreciate the offer. The van is now running. I will test drive it a bit longer and hopefully no more problems. One last question. The engine light is still on. Does it need to be reset or could there be another problem? Thanks again for your help.
