OK, sorry for all of the questions.
So, you were only going 5 mph when it lost power? Or the car would only go 5 mph after the power loss?
Customer: replied 7 years ago.
car would only go 5 m.p.h. after power loss

OK. It sounds like the car went into failsafe mode. Although normally the check engine light will come on when this happens. You may also be having a problem with the IPDM/ER. These sometimes fail or have shorts in them and it is the main fuse box and relay center. I think based on the description, you may actually want to get this to the dealer. Some of this may still be covered under the power train warranty and it is likely going to take a while to diagnose. Sorry i don't have better info and all i can give is advise. Hope it helps!

what is IPDM/ER?
Expert:  Mike V. replied 7 years ago.
That stand for Intelligent Power Distribustion Module Engine Room.
It is located by the washer jug fill tube I believe and holds all of the relays and about 60 fuses. Controls several functions of the car as well.
Thanks for the accept!
