Customer Question

my '05 pathfinder has a whining noise while accelerating accompanied with a loss of power

Optional Information:
2005 Nissan

Already Tried:
I've had to have my muffler restored twice (rear-ended) and am not sure whether if the acceleration issues is related to the muffler crack returning.

I've never had an issue - but the power loss is of great concern. I've changed the oil religiously every 3000 miles and am using synthetic.

while driving freeway speeds, the check engine light is not on.
the noise seems to be coming from the engine itself.
