my '05 pathfinder has a whining noise while accelerating accompanied with a loss of power
Optional Information: 2005 Nissan Already Tried: I've had to have my muffler restored twice (rear-ended) and am not sure whether if the acceleration issues is related to the muffler crack returning. I've never had an issue - but the power loss is of great concern. I've changed the oil religiously every 3000 miles and am using synthetic.
HI!
whre do you hear the noise under the truck, or from the engine also do you have a check engine light on. let me know Thanks ROY!
while driving freeway speeds, the check engine light is not on.the noise seems to be coming from the engine itself.
OK!
On the 2005 pathfinder 4.0L engine we have had a lot of timing chain tensioner whining noises, from the engine the timing chain tensioner will have to be replaced to fix this problem. there are new style parts for this repair at the dealer , Thank You, XXXXX XXXXX know if you have any more questions, ROY!
