I HAVE A 2005 NISSAN FRONTIER DTC P1706 PNP SWITCH FAULT.THE VEHICLE HAS A CRANK NO START ISSUE. IT DOES NOT HAVE SPARK BUT IT DOES HAVE INJECTOR PULSE.VEHICLE HAS 96000 MILES,4.0 V6 ENG.
2005 Nissan Frontier 2wd 4.0 v6
checked for spark none.injector pulse is present.dtc p1706 was present for a pnp switch fault.i disconnected each of the cam sensors (one at a time)to see if the vehicle would start due to a timing issue.i have checked the continuity of the wiring to each of the coils ok.i do get 1-2 pulses at the coils when checking for spark with an inline tool then none.vehicle has a crank/no start condition.
do u have a test light or voltage meter if so ; check to see if there is 12 volts at terminal #3 on all the coils. if not locate the pcm power relay and check each pin of the relay for 12 volts
