I HAVE A 2005 NISSAN FRONTIER DTC P1706 PNP SWITCH FAULT.THE VEHICLE HAS A CRANK NO START ISSUE. IT DOES NOT HAVE SPARK BUT IT DOES HAVE INJECTOR PULSE.VEHICLE HAS 96000 MILES,4.0 V6 ENG.
Optional Information: 2005 Nissan Frontier 2wd 4.0 v6 Already Tried: checked for spark none.injector pulse is present.dtc p1706 was present for a pnp switch fault.i disconnected each of the cam sensors (one at a time)to see if the vehicle would start due to a timing issue.i have checked the continuity of the wiring to each of the coils ok.i do get 1-2 pulses at the coils when checking for spark with an inline tool then none.vehicle has a crank/no start condition.
do u have a test light or voltage meter if so ; check to see if there is 12 volts at terminal #3 on all the coils. if not locate the pcm power relay and check each pin of the relay for 12 volts
