2wd..3.3L..which states Knock sensor #1 Circuit High Input, Bank 1

Customer Question

I have a 2WD 2004 Exterra with a 3.3L engine, the diagnostic code I get is P0328 which states "Knock Sensor #1 Circuit High Input, Bank 1 or 1 Sensor". Can you tell me if I can tell if it's just one sensor are the entire bank. Also, where are these particular sensors?

Hi,

Your vehicle only has 1 knock sensor. It is located on the engine block between the 2 cylinder heads, underneath the intake manifold:

Before replacing the knock sensor, check engine ground. A loose engine ground can set this code.

Reply to eric's Post: Thank you very much. The engine is supercharged. What all will I have to remove to get to the knock sensor?

Thanks.

Eric,

I asked the same question before getting your relpy and a gentleman named Roy answered the same question you answered above. I did not accept his answer as I had already recieved your answer. Can you let him and "Justanswer.com" know why I did not accept his answer.

Thanks,
