Clutch slips. I wanted to loosen the tension on the release

Customer Question

clutch slips. I wanted to loosen the tension on the release to get a little more life out of it.
JA: Has the clutch been slipping? Are you having any trouble shifting?
Customer: No trouble shifting at all
JA: What is the model/year of your Infiniti?
Customer: 2002 G20
JA: Are you fixing your G20 yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I'm looking for a way to back off the pressure of the clutch pedal
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: it's at the top likely due to the clutch plate wearing down

Let me just say that any money that you paid, or if you have a subscription, that money stays in your account until the answers are rated, (positive) regardless of how fast or how long it may take to get finished. You can FOLLOW UP AT ANYTIME, even after rating. Thanks.

The only adjustment on it is at the push rod for the clutch master cylinder. If you loosen the lock nut, you can turn the push rod, (in toward the pedal) to release some of the tension on the clutch. Please see attached diagram, thanks.
